Village reports progress on Leahy storm project; backyard boring to begin

Village staff provided an update on the Leahy storm project, saying crews have completed much of the excavation and installed storm structures and connections.
Project lead Kim said the contractor will begin backyard boring the following day. Staff reported they have not received resident complaints about the project so far. During a review of existing connections, crews found a few properties where storm sump lines tied into sanitary sewer lines; staff are documenting addresses and have notified Aqua to manage reconnections.
Kim said the contractor has logged notes on existing utility connections and will make the required reconnections. No changes to schedule or budget were reported during the update.
