Council moves to allow liquor license process to proceed for Ramada Lewiston after conditional code sign-offs

Council members asked questions about the building—s condemned status, certificate of occupancy scheduling and the floor plans in the packet; Director Connor said the hotel received a partial conditional license for a portion of the building and staff support the pending liquor-license processing contingent on inspections and sign-offs from applicable departments. The city clerk explained the liquor license before the council was a new-license application and that final issuance would follow departmental approvals and required inspections.

The council moved to authorize the city clerk—s office to proceed with processing the new liquor license application and to hold a public hearing for comment; the motion passed on roll call with recorded votes in support. Councilors asked staff to confirm floor plan details during departmental review and to keep the council informed of the final inspection sign-offs.
