The MTA has ratified its portion of the deal, the board learned at the meeting. The board attorney explained the remaining steps: finalize contract revisions, have the association ratify the final document, and hold a board vote to execute the contract. The attorney and board members said the board is prepared to hold a special meeting if necessary to approve the agreement promptly once the language is settled.
No financial terms or specific provisions were presented during the Nov. 18 meeting beyond that the agreement covers a three‑year term and that salary guides have been developed. The superintendent and the administration said they will share additional details and the fully executed contract once the ratification and board vote are complete.
