Joey Fawcett honored for 12 years on IDA; Shannon Hare approved to fill seat

Fawcett spoke briefly and said it had been his pleasure to serve Pittsylvania County. The board also announced that Shannon Hare, who was in the audience, had been approved by the board that night to serve on the IDA for the Chatham‑Blairs district. Supervisors welcomed Hare and said they looked forward to her service.
The recognition was ceremonial; the appointment of Hare to the IDA was recorded in the meeting and the board asked any IDA members present to join for photographs. No further formal board action regarding IDA governance was taken at the meeting.
