"As stated in the agenda material, staff is requesting authorization for Pittsylvania County to issue refunds to the current occupants of Robin Court for water payments made in 2024 and 2025, totaling $7,555.87," Royston told the board.
Royston said the community has been pressing for relief since a public press conference earlier in the year and praised the board’s steps to deliver drinking water and to secure grant funding to research a permanent fix. The agenda packet and staff recommendation quoted during public comment requested authorization for those refunds; the consent agenda that included the request passed without recorded opposition.
