WAUSAU, Wis. — At its Nov. 18 meeting the Wausau Plan Commission approved two related land-use actions to vacate part of the 28th Avenue corridor right-of-way and amend the official city map to remove the same land from the corridor, and it approved minutes from the commission’s Sept. 16, 2025 meeting.
Chair Denny asked for motions on item 4a, to vacate and discontinue a portion of the 28th Avenue corridor right-of-way. Commissioner Brueggemann made the motion; a second was recorded. The chair called a voice vote and the motion carried. The commission then considered item 4b, an amendment to the official city map removing the land from the 28th Avenue corridor; Commissioner Brueggemann again moved, a second was recorded, and the voice vote carried.
Earlier in the meeting the commission moved to accept the minutes from the Sept. 16, 2025, regular Plan Commission meeting; Commissioner Brueggemann moved approval and a second was recorded; a voice vote carried.
The record in the meeting transcript records voice votes and named movers/seconders but does not provide a roll-call tally or recorded dissenting votes. No public hearing occurred on these items at this meeting; the chair noted that public hearings had been held previously on related matters. The meeting concluded with a motion to adjourn that carried by voice vote.
