Community High School District 155’s board approved one‑year employment contracts for two high‑school principals after returning from executive session.
The board voted to approve a one‑year contract for Dan Nichols as principal of Cary Grove High School and then approved a one‑year contract for Dan De Brucker as principal of Crystal Lake South High School. Both motions were moved, seconded and adopted by roll-call votes recorded as unanimous.
After the formal approvals the superintendent and board members introduced Nichols and De Brucker to the audience, thanked their families in attendance and offered brief personal remarks. The superintendent noted prior experience for De Brucker at Crystal Lake South and welcomed both to their roles. No additional contract terms beyond the one‑year length were posted on the meeting record.
