Court schedules second reading after first reading of 15 mph speed-limit ordinance for Ziegler Drive

Commissioner Scott said petitioners had gathered roughly a dozen signatures supporting the change and that a second page of signatures appeared to accompany the request. "It's a proposal for a 15 mile an hour speed limit on Ziegler... and you have, looks like to me, about a dozen signatures," Scott said.
Judge Jones said the ordinance will be advertised and brought back for a second reading after sufficient advertisement. There was no formal vote, amendment or motion at the first reading.
What happens next: county staff will arrange advertising of the proposed ordinance and the court will consider a second reading in a later session where members may vote on adoption or amendment.
