Weiss described the lasting effects of "harm caused by misconduct in school settings" and asked the district to implement specific measures, including independent investigations, an anonymous reporting system for students and families, training on grooming and healthy boundaries for staff and coaches, and regular public review of policies and reforms.

"Our community has watched our survivors carry the weight of their experience for years," Weiss said. She pressed the board for clear procedures on how findings are documented and passed forward during leadership changes, and asked how reassignment or quiet resolutions are handled so that students and families are protected.

Board members acknowledged the importance of the questions but said they could not provide specifics in public due to ongoing litigation. The board president and other members said they would refer Weiss’s questions to district administrators and attempt to provide non-confidential answers or policy clarifications in a future meeting. One board member encouraged Weiss to submit her written questions to the district so staff could prepare responses.

The exchange underscored a broader community concern about investigation independence, how findings are recorded and shared, and what district-level oversight is being used to prevent recurrence. Board members thanked Weiss for bringing detailed questions to the meeting and pledged to follow up within the limits of legal constraints.
