West Bend Plan Commission conditionally approves certified survey map for 400 South University Drive

The Plan Commission of the City of West Bend on Nov. 18 conditionally approved a certified survey map (CSM) that divides a city- and county-owned property at 400 South University Drive into two lots and one outlot, a map the city said is intended to facilitate future sale and redevelopment.
John introduced the item and an unidentified commission presenter described the proposal as a "2 lot, and 1 outlot certified survey map" for the parcel. The presenter said Lot 1 contains the main building of the old university, Lot 2 is an open-space area east of University Drive, and Outlot 1 will retain park amenities and the main driveway providing park access. The presenter also identified existing utility features, saying the site contains "the main water tower out there along with their water line," and noted several easements reflected on the map.
The presenter requested approval with conditions: the commission should grant the CSM subject to completion of a few minor technical revisions before recording and subject to later acceptance by the Common Council of the utilities and easements shown on the map. The commission moved and seconded the motion (the chair identified the mover as Matt and the seconder as Mike) and approved the CSM by voice vote with no opposition.
Following discussion, staff noted two follow-up items: finish the technical corrections required for recording, and have the Common Council accept the various utilities and easements before final recordation. The commission did not add further conditions or amendments and directed staff to proceed with the corrections and coordination with the council.
