Miss Cleaver presented the recommendation and acknowledged Stephanie Merkley, Homestead’s AP environmental science teacher and environmental club sponsor, for leadership. A motion to accept the donation was moved and seconded and approved by voice vote.
Staff said the funds would be used for trail maintenance, outdoor learning enhancements and to support future environmental education projects at Homestead High.
