Board approves two-year principals contract with modest salary increases

The Osseo Public School District board approved a two‑year terms‑and‑conditions agreement with the Osseo Principals Association on Nov. 18.
Yvonne Schwartzland, executive director of human resources, summarized the contract covering 48 principals and assistant principals, saying year‑one compensation includes a 2.15% increase to base salary and a 2% increase in year two. She said district contributions to group health insurance were increased for plans other than the high plan, the district increased its 403(b) match contribution, and professional development funding was reduced. Schwartzland said the total two‑year financial investment is $557,052, representing a 3.55% total package increase over the contract term.
Board members moved and seconded the motion and voted 6‑0 to ratify the agreement; Human Resources and payroll will implement the changes upon ratification.
