Enterprise celebrates state volleyball champions and volunteers

Enterprise — Mayor Cooper and Blake Moore, interim director of community service and recreation, presented certificates to the 2025 ARPA state volleyball champions and recognized staff and volunteer coaches on Nov. 18.
Blake Moore said the city’s newly opened Enterprise Recreation and Aquatic Center helped host a state tournament that set a new record with 51 teams and drew thousands of visitors from across the state. Moore credited city leadership and staff, including parking and public‑works crews, for preparing for the event and said the tournament provided economic benefit to downtown businesses.
Moore introduced staff and coaches who helped organize the event, including athletic supervisor Tyler Kaiser and athletic coordinator Ian Theriault, and he recognized head coach Lee Milliner and assistant coach Julie Hodge for their roles in the youth volleyball program. The council also presented two “extra mile” awards to Enterprise Water employees Adam Bonine and Josh Brown for assisting at a roadway accident and providing traffic control until first responders arrived.
Council members congratulated the athletes and staff and noted the tournament’s contribution to local tourism and downtown commerce. The council took these recognitions during the regular meeting and continued business that included a set of consent approvals and motions detailed elsewhere.
