Crestview students and community recognized at council meeting; PIO announces photo-contest winners

The city's Public Information Officer, Shay, presented the BU 2025 recipe photo contest — a second-year program that drew more than 80 entries this year, double the participation from 2024 — and announced winners for categories including Best in Storytelling (Chasiana Butler), Best in Composition (Alan Barr) and Best in Showcasing Community History (Michael Padilla). The mayor and council praised student involvement and community engagement.
During public comment, an SGA representative offered the group's assistance for the fall festival and other events and provided a school contact (Erica Kennedy) for event coordination.
