Crestview issues proclamations, praises Fall Festival and promotes upcoming Remote Area Medical clinic

Council presented a proclamation recognizing November 2025 as National Epilepsy Awareness Month and invited family members of Tyler Smith — who died of a seizure in February — to accept copies. Councilman Brandon Frost read a proclamation declaring Farm City Week in the city and praised agriculture’s role in Florida’s economy. The council also proclaimed November as National Home Care and Hospice Month.
Councilmembers used the meeting’s announcements to congratulate Main Street Association volunteers for a well-attended Fall Festival. Resident Ed Mitchell, speaking during public comment, promoted an upcoming Remote Area Medical event that will include large dental operations (about 40 tents) and requested earlier gym access for setup because of school schedules.
