City staff proposed reallocating a total funding package of $614,509.80 so the city can meet 25% matches required by two recently awarded hazard‑mitigation grants; the reallocation plan described: $100,000 for the public works operation center and generators, $304,422.50 toward storage and parking for vehicles, a contingency of $190,087.30 to support the grants’ processes, and $20,000 to replace work programs at David Walker and Dora Avenue for ADA improvements.
Staff recommended the city administrator be given authority to execute the amendment and to reallocate the described funds; council members said the reallocation leverages county funds to address broader infrastructure and hazard‑mitigation needs and approved the amendment by voice vote.
