Reverend Brian Butler told the commission that the parish is collecting relief items with the CANDU organization in Tampa and that drop‑off is available at Saint John (14549 A Street, Dade City) from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. through Nov. 15. Butler specified the organizers are seeking nonperishable food and canned goods, mixed (ready‑to‑use) infant formula and certain building materials; he emphasized organizers are not accepting clothing, shoes or plain water because of logistical and contamination concerns.
Separately, City Manager Marika Van Ervin said the city received a draft SRF priority list showing approximately $3 million for the 10th Street well house and about $7.1 million for wastewater improvements (lift stations, generators, infiltration correction), for roughly $10 million in potential grant funding pending final confirmation.
Commissioners and staff encouraged public support of the relief campaign and said they would share drop‑off details and flyers.
