The commission approved the mayor serving as chair and moved to appoint Evanhouse; the voice vote carried and the appointments were confirmed by consensus.
Staff asked the committee to meet promptly so proposals can be ranked and a recommendation returned for the commission's December meeting. The finance officer noted that audit work papers and preparatory documents are being readied to allow a new auditor to move quickly once selected.
