Cutler Bay reports completion of contaminated soil removal at Legacy Park; next construction phases slated for 2026

Emma Jones, owner’s representative from Stantec, told the Town of Cutler Bay council on Nov. 19 that the first guaranteed maximum price package (GMP 1) — the soil remediation and site preparation for Legacy Park — is essentially finished. “By September, 100% of the contaminated soil had been removed from the site,” Jones said, and she reported the team exported 126,393 tons and imported roughly 154,128 tons of clean fill.
