Council members Johnna Barnes, Scott Weigand, Christopher Grace, Arthur Fisher Jr. and Casey Morris each took the oath of office and were congratulated by officials. The administration completed required paperwork and signings as part of the ceremony.
Aaron Knight delivered an invocation asking for unity, discernment and peace for the new administration. Council members and the audience stood for the Pledge of Allegiance.
The meeting moved from ceremonial matters into organizational business following the oaths, including nominations for council leadership and a slate of routine resolutions.
