Council names new multi‑use trail 'Kinoshita Farm Trail'

The City Council on Oct. 7 unanimously approved naming the new multi‑use trail that connects Via Positiva and Camino Del Avion the "Kinoshita Farm Trail." Assistant City Manager Matisse Reitschle told the council the trail runs along the sports park and Kinoshita Farm property, and staff recommended the name to honor the Kinoshita family’s multigenerational farming legacy.
Roger Kinoshita, speaking on behalf of his family, thanked the council and described the family’s farming history on the property. Council members praised the suggestion and voted to approve the name unanimously.
The new trail was opened this summer as part of the skate park and multi‑use trail project and the name will be used for signage and promotional materials.
