Linn County board approves $2,003,562.57 in claims, clears consent agenda; early voting announced

The Linn County Board of Supervisors approved claims and the consent agenda and heard county announcements at its Oct. 15 meeting at the Gene Oxley Public Service Center.
An unnamed board member moved to approve claims that included $160,340.96 in vendor claims and $1,843,221.61 in ACH payments. The motion was seconded by the chair and approved by voice; the total of those components is $2,003,562.57.
The board then moved and seconded approval of the consent agenda without discussion; the motion carried by voice vote.
During general public comment and announcements, Supervisor Sheets told the board and attendees that early voting had begun at the Gene Oxley Building and listed satellite locations and dates through Nov. 3. Supervisor Sheets gave the daily voting hours at the Gene Oxley Building as 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. between that day and Election Day and provided additional satellite-site hours and dates for Lindale Mall, Kennedy High School and the Ladd Library.
With no further public comment, the chair adjourned the meeting.
