Linn County auditor reports smooth start to city and school elections

Todd Taylor, Linn County Auditor, told supervisors that the city's 2025 school and municipal elections launched on time and that early voting was proceeding smoothly. "Make sure everybody votes. Vote if you haven't already. Today is the day," Taylor said, and described troubleshooting support for voters finding polling places.
Taylor gave a voter phone number for assistance (892-5000) and directed residents to linncounty.gov and the Elections page for polling locations and other details. He also said 17 people were working on the election across the hall and thanked paid staff and volunteers.
Board members thanked Taylor and asked the auditor to provide vote totals and media reports later in the day. No operational problems were reported at the time of the update.
