Staff presented FY2026 Legacy & Community Attraction Fund applications: $50,000 available, up to five awards; 15 applications requested $221,100 in total. Supervisors will review individualized scoring and make award decisions at the Wednesday meeting.
Linn County staff presented the FY2026 Legacy and Community Attraction Fund recommendations during the Nov. 24 supervisors meeting. Jessie Black of the Board of Supervisors office said $50,000 is available this year and a maximum of five awards may be made; 15 applications were received totaling $221,100, exceeding available funds.
Black described the scoring and allocation process: staff confirm eligibility, compile a master spreadsheet, and give each supervisor a copy to score individually; staff will average those scores and present allocations at the formal decision meeting on Wednesday. “The averages that are shown on the screen are, they equal $49,999 So essentially, they all equal $50,000,” Black said, noting there is little wiggle room for adjustments.
Supervisors thanked Black for managing the process and agreed to place the item on the regular (not consent) agenda for Wednesday so final allocations can be made and applicants notified.
