Webster County advisory council approves bylaws, cleans up minutes and sets next meeting

At its Oct. 8 meeting the Webster County EMS Advisory Council completed routine business before devoting the majority of the session to a public discussion about Otho Fire & Rescue.
The council voted to remove the canceled June 11 meeting from the record, approved the Sept. 10 meeting minutes and approved the evening’s agenda by voice votes. Separately, members voted to adopt amended bylaws that make all council members voting members, require that the Webster County supervisor representative be an elected supervisor and that the Fort Dodge representative be an elected city council member, and added Supervisor Conrad to an initial two-year term ending Dec. 31, 2026.
After the substantive Otho discussion, the council recorded a set of deliverables: Otho was asked to supply full operational data covering its transport service start date through the present and Fort Dodge Fire was asked to provide an adjusted budget showing the effect of reallocating $75,000. The advisory council scheduled a follow-up meeting in roughly two weeks to review those materials.
The meeting adjourned after those steps were taken.
