Seminole County officials described a new on-demand microtransit program called Scout on Oct. 6, telling the Longwood City Commission the county will roll out a full launch Oct. 15 and operate seven days a week with zone-based pricing and a predominantly electric fleet.
Christian Swenson, assistant county manager for Seminole County, said Scout will use an app provided by vendor Freebee, operate in five primary zones plus a flex zone, and rely primarily on Volkswagen ID.Buzz vehicles supplemented by wheelchair-accessible Toyota Sienna minivans.
