The General Policy Committee received a presentation on the Imagine GNV comprehensive plan update from Sporus Edelton of the Department of Sustainable Development. Edelton said the draft represents roughly five years of engagement and is intended to align the plan’s chapters with state-required elements ahead of an Evaluation & Appraisal Report (EAR) due on May 1, 2026.
"Our comprehensive plan is that plan that's required by the state that really touches virtually everything that the city does," Sporus Edelton said, describing the document’s 10- and 20-year planning time frames and the staff effort to reformat the draft into a more traditional chapter structure that is easier for neighbors to use.
