Pensacola council approves routine budget, procurement and policy items on unanimous votes

At its Oct. 23 meeting the council approved minutes, the agenda, a consent package, several resolutions and a procurement action, most by unanimous vote. The Pensacola City Council used its Oct. 23 meeting to approve several routine and budgetary items by unanimous votes.
Among actions the council approved 7–0 were: the minutes of the Oct. 9 regular meeting; the meeting agenda; a consent agenda including a land-use/operator agreement and CDBG funding items; a policy resolution creating an unranked state and federal legislative-priority list (Res. 2025‑74); amendments to the Parks & Recreation fee schedule for FY2026 (Res. 2025‑71); a local-agency program agreement and supplemental budget appropriation with the Florida Department of Transportation for sidewalks tying Legion Field to the Global Learning Academy (Res. 2025‑62 and Suppl. 63); supplemental budget Res. 2025‑70 for Pensacola Energy gas-main construction services; procurement approval to piggyback Tallahassee’s contract with Equix Energy Services LLC for up to $500,000; and a supplemental budget appropriation for Baptist donation proceeds (Res. 2025‑72). The council also approved an ordinance repeal (second reading) removing a redundant council-compensation code section (Ord. 19‑25).
Several items generated public comment — notably the FDOT sidewalk project — but council motions carried unanimously where votes were recorded.
