County hears update on 2022–24 outside audits; commissioners request clearer audit communications

One commissioner stated that signatures or required documentation held up the 2022 audit in the past and urged clearer procedural steps going forward. County staff said they would keep the court informed and would provide required letters to new commissioners and department heads once audits are complete.
No formal vote was required for the update, but several commissioners asked staff to improve communication and to present audit results to the court if necessary.
