Priceville council approves restaurant liquor license for Serrano’s after brief public hearing

The Priceville Town Council on Monday approved a restaurant retail liquor license for Sherpa LLC, doing business as Serrano’s Mexican Restaurant at 620 Highway 67 South in Priceville, after a short public hearing.

The council opened the hearing and asked for public comment. The restaurant’s representative (identified in the transcript as Speaker 11) answered questions about recent interior upgrades, furniture delivery timing and unexpected duties on imported equipment. "The food was delicious," Speaker 2 said to the applicant, and Speaker 11 replied that new furniture should arrive Wednesday and that the tortilla machine — a metal appliance — attracted an unexpected 25% duty on value, which delayed full setup.

Hearing no objections, the council approved a resolution to grant the license. The transcript records the measure with inconsistent numbering: it is referred to as resolution 2025-24 in one passage and as resolution 2025-34 in another.
