Alexios Vasquez, Robla’s district coordinator for expanded learning, told the board on Sept. 15 that the district updated both the Expanded Learning Opportunity (EOP) and After School Education and Safety (ACES) plans to align with California Department of Education guidance and that the district has assumed fiscal‑agent responsibility for the ACES grant previously held by the City of Sacramento.
Vasquez said two new program partners — Right At School and Stay After School — will join existing providers (including City of Sacramento and Roberts Family Development Center) to provide before‑ and after‑school care across sites. He described program distribution across schools and reported enrollment across providers and sites as "10 28" in the meeting transcript, with staff noting new enrollments continue daily.
Vasquez said Stanford School provides the before‑school program that begins 45 minutes before the bell, that Glenwood has the largest after‑school enrollment, and that the district is working to report year‑over‑year comparisons for average daily attendance. Trustees asked for last year’s enrollment figures; Vasquez said he would provide them.
The board heard the update without objection and received thanks from trustees for continuing to expand family options and program access.
