External auditor gives Taylor ISD a clean opinion for fiscal year ending 06/30/2025

At the board meeting on Nov. 17, Elias Tristan of Singleton Clark presented the district’s FY 2024–25 financial audit, reporting an unmodified (clean) auditor’s opinion and no material weaknesses, significant deficiencies or material noncompliance in the financial statements.
Tristan said the district was subject to a single audit this year focused on the child nutrition cluster and that auditors found no issues. He noted a delay in a federal supplement used for single-audit guidance has postponed the electronic upload to the Texas Education Agency; TEA has extended the deadline to Feb. 27 and the auditor said the firm did not anticipate any change to its opinion.
Trustees and staff thanked the audit team and district staff for their work in producing the clean report. The audit presentation covered the summary page and referred trustees to the full audit report in the board packet for detailed schedules and notes.
