Consent agenda: Commissioners approved minutes from the Nov. 3 meeting, authorized disposal of various City vehicles and equipment, and approved purchase of a Brilli Model 2550XP stump grinder for the Streets Division at $64,000 from Wrench Company; the consent agenda passed 5–0.
Annexations: The commission approved first‑reading ordinances to annex three county properties into the city — property at 0655 Woodall Drive (Ordinance 2025‑07), 215 13th Avenue South (Ordinance 2025‑08), and 3584 Enterprise Road East (Ordinance 2025‑11). Staff said each property was under county permits and annexation will regularize city utilities and zoning; votes were 5–0 for each ordinance on first reading.
Events and community recognition: The commission approved a special‑event application by the Kiwanis Club of Safety Harbor for a craft beer festival on March 14, 2026, with staff noting coordination will be required because of ongoing marina construction. The Safety Harbor Library Foundation was selected as the 2025 holiday parade grand marshal. Both items passed unanimously.
Appointments: Edmund Ziegler was reappointed to the Firefighters Pension Trust Fund board for a two‑year term. John Estock was appointed to a regular member seat on the Finance Advisory Committee. Both appointments were approved 5–0.
Scheduling: The commission also directed staff to cancel the January 5 meeting; direction carried by voice vote.
