A business partner speaking for Dew Ink Therapy said the studio will occupy about 700 square feet and will be women‑owned, emphasize a light, sanitary environment and limit operations to a maximum of three artists. She described prior experience at a one‑artist studio and said the business will comply with state apprenticeship and sanitation requirements and that a tattoo inspector has already approved the space for the next steps.
She said hours would generally be midday through early evening (roughly noon to 6 p.m., with weekend hours possibly extending to 8 p.m.), that they would refuse service to people they determine to be intoxicated and that they would serve adults 21 and older. After a brief discussion and a recorded second, the council voted 'aye' with no recorded opposition and approved the application.
The council offered congratulations and wished the new business luck.
