The chamber unanimously adopted three House concurrent resolutions recognizing the 250th anniversaries of the U.S. Navy, the U.S. Marine Corps, and the U.S. Army (HCR 20, HCR 21, HCR 23). Senators delivering floor remarks highlighted service, sacrifice and the contributions of Ohio veterans.
On legislation, the Senate approved Amended House Bill 124, which alters the process for selecting sales included in sales assessment ratio studies by giving county auditors final authority with appeal to the Board of Tax Appeals; sponsors argued local auditors have more direct knowledge of arm’s‑length sales. The clerk announced the bill passed by recorded vote (31–0).
Senate Bill 251, designating a portion of State Route 13 in Knox County as the Ohio State Highway Patrol Lieutenant Vance M. Andrews Memorial Highway, passed unanimously. Senate Bill 276, ratifying the interstate compact for school psychologists and joining Ohio as the eighth member state, also passed without opposition.
Other proceedings included committee reports, nominations for advise-and-consent and routine motions; the Senate adjourned until Nov. 18, 2025.
