House interim transportation committee adopts rules, opens informational hearing

Chair Terry McLean opened the House Interim Committee on Transportation’s organizational meeting Wednesday and asked Representative Nathanson to move to adopt the proposed committee rules dated 11/19/2025. Representative Nathanson moved the proposed rules; when no member objected the chair declared the motion passed.
After adopting the rules for the day, the committee moved immediately into an informational hearing on federal policy and funding affecting transportation. Chair McLean said the hearing would cover an overview of federal policy and funding changes and would include in-person and online presenters from state agencies and industry.
The rules-adoption was procedural and took place by unanimous assent; no roll-call vote was recorded. The informational hearing that followed set the agenda for presentations from ODOT, the Oregon Department of Environmental Quality, industry trade groups, transit associations and local transit providers.
