Planning Commission hears staff reports, approves new meeting time and adjourns

Community development staffing turnover (a director position) was noted as a short-term impediment to process speed.
On building activity, staff reported 16 single-family building permits permitted so far this year (with three additional approved but not yet paid). Staff noted the pace is an increase from the prior year and that market conditions and interest rates continue to affect build-out timing for subdivisions such as Garrison Creek.
Commissioners discussed meeting logistics and moved to change the Planning Commission meeting start time to 6:00 p.m.; the motion was seconded and passed unanimously. The commission later moved and seconded to conclude the meeting; the motion carried and the meeting adjourned. Staff confirmed the next meeting date as December 16 beginning at 6 p.m.
