The Saint Joseph School District Board unanimously approved routine business and several contracts during the meeting, including the consent agenda, bills for November, October financials and multiple agreements before the board.
A sole-source purchase of Snap-on toolsets for the Hilliard automotive program was approved for $57,243.60, split across account codes as presented. The board approved an agreement with the American Red Cross to allow nursing staff access to CPR and first-aid training materials and authorized a Parents as Teachers arrangement that allows the program to bill Medicaid for perinatal visits at an estimated $200 per visit (replacing a $90-per-visit arrangement) to increase reimbursement.
The board also approved a scholarship nomination (student C) for submission to the MSBA Belcher scholarship and received a quarterly investment report showing the district’s investment positions and bond-proceeds spending. Board members asked the finance committee to examine reserve-ratio goals and recommended committee follow-up on fund-balance targets. Following these approvals the board moved to executive session under the closed-meeting citation read aloud in the meeting record.
