At the Nov. 25 meeting the Norwalk Board of Health approved the minutes from its Oct. 28, 2025 meeting by voice vote after Diana D’Amour called for a motion; she indicated Frank Ehrlich would move and Anthony Santella would second the motion, and the chair declared it passed.
Diana D'Amour said the board must set the 2026 meeting dates for FOI compliance and proposed keeping meetings at 8 a.m. on Tuesdays, with holiday adjustments. Board members expressed agreement and D'Amour said she would circulate proposed dates and coordinate with the city clerk and mayor's office.
In her director’s report D'Amour said the department is preparing its operating-budget request to submit through the city’s financial software and to review with the CFO and mayor’s office. She said the department will not submit new capital-budget requests this cycle because several projects are already underway, citing security upgrades, exam-room work on the first floor, reception-desk updates and a forthcoming roof replacement to be managed by building management.
Board members asked whether an incoming mayor would change priorities. D'Amour said there was no specific guidance yet from mayoral staff and that the current mayor (named in the transcript as Rilling) has been involved in guiding the budget; she said she would reach out to the mayor’s office and the incoming administration to present the department’s work.
The meeting concluded with holiday remarks and adjournment at 08:25.
