The El Segundo City Council on Nov. 18 received and filed the first-quarter financial report for fiscal year 2025–26. Chief Financial Officer Paul Chung reported that the city's general fund realized $7,300,000 in revenue during the quarter while expenditures from the general fund totaled $24,500,000.

Chung told council that the city's five principal revenue sources are projected to meet budget expectations even though the city saw moderate year-over-year decreases in sales tax, transient occupancy tax and utility user tax revenue in the first quarter. The council did not take further action beyond receiving and filing the report.

The report will appear in the published agenda packet and in the Dec. 2 meeting materials if council requests supplemental discussion or direction.
