The Property Management Committee unanimously approved a 10-year lease allowing the Christiana Volunteer Fire Department to occupy a former station at 2517 Millen Fossil Road, Bell Buckle.

Chief Farley presented the request and said the county opened a new fire building in Plainview and the volunteer department requested to continue serving the community from the older station. He described a proposed 10-year lease at a nominal rate ("$10 for 10 years" as stated in the presentation), with the volunteer department responsible for utilities, routine maintenance and required insurance. County counsel recommended minimum insurance coverage of $1,000,000 per occurrence and $2,000,000 aggregate.

Commissioner Dodd moved to approve the lease and Commissioner Anthony Johnson seconded; the motion passed on a roll call with all present commissioners recorded in favor. Chief Farley thanked the committee following the vote.
