The Lancaster County Board of Supervisors unanimously approved awarding the Taylor Creek Park public access project contract to Franklin Mechanical Contractors Inc., the lowest responsible bidder, the board heard on Nov. 20.

County staff said Bay Design Group managed the bid process for the 11-acre park project, which includes an access road, 14 parking spaces, ADA-accessible trails, a kayak launch, restrooms and covered shelters. The board voted to authorize contract preparation and move forward with the project.

The motion passed by voice vote; staff said they will begin contract preparation and return with final documents. No additional funding adjustments were announced at the meeting.
