Lafayette — The City Council adopted a proclamation celebrating the Roundup Saloon’s 90th year of operation and recognized the business as Lafayette’s longest‑running continuously operating establishment.

City Manager (Speaker 5) introduced Karen and Mike Johnson and the mayor read a proclamation recounting the saloon’s founding by Lou Borgonzani and later ownership transitions. Councilmember (Speaker 2) moved adoption of the proclamation; the council voted to approve it and invited the Johnsons to speak. One owner said, "we've been owners now 22 years," and both thanked the city, the chamber and the community for longstanding support.

The mayor closed the item with photos and public appreciation; council also took a Zoom comment from Libby Henry congratulating the owners.
