PV Schools’ sixteenth annual Community Fund Run 5K will be held Jan. 31 at Horizon High School, and organizers urged community participation and preregistration to secure a commemorative shirt, organizers said.
Dina Cabrera, benefits coordinator for PV Schools, said the health fair that accompanies the run will be moved to the track across from the 5K start this year so attendees can more easily find it. "When you show up, there'll be tables there for you to register if you haven't yet, but please do because if you register before the January 17, you get that fabulous shirt that we all love wearing," Cabrera said. She described the event as a community gathering that includes a kid dash, staff teams, departmental competitions for a participation trophy and a health fair.
Cabrera said day‑of registration will be available at Horizon High School and that registration typically opens at 7:30 a.m. She encouraged people to run, walk, push strollers and bring pets (with cleanup), and said past turnout reached 598 participants; her goal for this year is 675.
Organizers listed multiple ways to register—through the district website link, via flyers, email or by contacting the event coordinator—and confirmed that more information is available at pvschools.net. The episode did not list entry fees or sponsorship details.
