Late in the meeting the board took several procedural and personnel actions. A motion to extend the meeting past 9:00 p.m. was moved by a board member and seconded; members voted unanimously to extend. The board then discussed meeting length and voted to postpone multiple agenda items (including 6.1, 7.2 and 7.3) to the next regular meeting on Dec. 10, 2025.

On agenda item 7.1 the board approved, by unanimous vote, the appointment of Jennifer Cormier as a special‑education teacher at Carey Ricker School for Regional School Unit 04, as recommended by the superintendent.

The personnel and policy committee reported it had reviewed several policies (BDD, BDG, BE, BFDC, BEDF) and said it is updating policy JKAA (restraint and seclusion) to reflect changes in current law; JKAA will come to the board for first reading on Dec. 10.

What happens next: postponed agenda items will be on the Dec. 10 meeting agenda; the district will present JKAA for first reading on Dec. 10 and administrators will continue follow‑up on items assigned by the board.
