Adams County commissioners voted to approve the county’s accounts payable and payroll claims and authorized two interfund transfers during their regular meeting.
Tony, a county staff member, presented accounts payable claims totaling about $832,002.18 and explained several large items, including roughly $127,000 for an electronic strategies upgrade to the jail’s locking system and a $43,700 claim likely tied to battery backups and related equipment. Commissioner Stan moved to approve the accounts payable claims and the motion passed.
The board also approved payroll-related accounts payable of $347,008.17 and accepted payroll time cards for department heads dated Nov. 21, 2025. Tony presented Allied Insurance charges: a monthly administrative cost of $70,009.43 and weekly medical/stop-loss reimbursements totaling $45,008.97; both were approved after motions from commissioners.
Tony requested two fund transfers from the commissioners’ budget to cover shortfalls. The board approved a $5,000 transfer from legal fees to bond interest to address an end-of-year shortfall and a $9,000 transfer from legal fees to the unincorporated infrastructure line to cover costs associated with an unsafe building demolition.
All motions on claims, payroll and transfers were made, seconded and announced as passed by the presiding commissioner. The board did not provide a roll-call tally in the transcript.
The board indicated staff will bring supporting documentation and contract/bid paperwork for larger claims and future meetings as needed.
