During the public forum the council heard community updates celebrating recent and upcoming projects.

Brenda invited the mayor and council to the Sierra Heights project groundbreaking, scheduled for Wednesday, Dec. 3 at 09:30, and said the city might offer a short bus tour to view a similar project in Boone prior to occupancy. She also announced Nevadas Oak Park Estates project was selected for a 2025 Alliance Community Impact Award and encouraged the city to promote the recognition regionally.

Emily Schack, executive director of Main Street Nevada, thanked council members and highlighted downtown accomplishments: a wayfinding-sign program, a new gathering patio in the alley, and a downtown mural completed this year. Schack said private investment in the downtown district has reached $3,000,000 and that the town hosted more than 10,000 visitors for the Wall That Heals event. She outlined 2026 goals to increase visitor spending and to reenergize the farmers market and public arts efforts.

Council closed the public forum after the comments and moved on to the regular agenda.
