The Southborough Zoning Board of Appeals agreed on Nov. 19 to continue the public hearing for the comprehensive-permit application at 250 Turnpike Road to Dec. 10, 2025, after counsel asked to pause testimony so all parties could participate.
Attorney George Bonon told the board the applicant requested the continuance to avoid excluding an absent participant and to allow the project team and town consultants to continue coordination. He said the parties have extended the administrative deadline for closing the public hearing to Feb. 4, 2026.
Board members and counsel discussed timeline options, noting the town's regular meeting schedule and the need to keep the record and deadlines clear. A motion to continue the hearing to Dec. 10 and a separate motion to accept the extended deadline were both seconded and approved unanimously by the members present.
The continuance preserves the board's ability to receive additional testimony and documents and keeps the statutory timeline active through the agreed extension.
