Perry County commissioners approved a set of routine financial and contractual actions at the meeting.
Financial approvals included payroll for Oct. 24, 2025, in the amount of $185,825.75; payroll withholdings of $39,649.35; health claims totaling $77,027.91; dental, vision and life insurance claims; and an accounts‑payable batch of $886,051.45. Each line item was moved, seconded and approved by voice vote.
Najee Camayo (interim county extension director, Purdue Extension) asked the board to sign the annual contractual services agreement for Purdue Extension; commissioners moved and approved executing the contract.
The board approved an appropriation of $360.39 to cover courthouse maintenance supplies and approved setting aside funds to record several deeds transferred to the county. Chair noted the deed‑recording fees ($80 to the auditor and $25 to the recorder per deed) would be paid from an old ceded fund balance; commissioners voted to authorize the payment.
Several smaller procurement and administrative motions were approved, including authorizing staff to update and advertise revised fuel bid specifications and instructing the auditor and staff to draft a capital assets ordinance for later review. The board also set the next meeting for Tuesday, Nov. 18, 2025, at 6 p.m. and adjourned.
Vote details: motions were routinely moved and seconded on the record and carried unanimously where recorded; no roll‑call tallies with individual votes were provided in the transcript for these items.
