The Hebron Town Council voted Nov. 20 to adopt an ordinance extending municipal tax relief/exemption for permanently and totally disabled veterans.

Claudia Riley read the proposed resolution on the record and the council discussed an amendment clarifying that the version to be voted on includes the latest revisions. The council said the ordinance follows the cited Connecticut statute language as read into the record; a clerical revision to a section heading was also noted. Council members approved the revised ordinance by voice vote. The council stated the ordinance would become effective Dec. 20, 2025 unless overruled under the Hebron Town Charter procedures noted in the meeting.

Councilors thanked veterans and those in attendance for their service after the vote.
